Trans Icon Dylan Mulvaney reveals her new face on social media after getting facial feminization surgery in December. 

Dylan Mulvaney took to Instagram to reveal to all her supporters her new face. She got facial feminization surgery back in December by By Dr. Harrison Lee to help her feel more confident in her identity as a trans woman. This was an important step in Mulvaney’s transition. 

Kyson Jamie, a fellow sophomore, comments, “I found out about Dylan through her “days of girlhood” series on Tik-Tok and she’s just been a huge inspiration to me ever since.”

Dylan Mulvaney is very public with her transition and lots of people think it’s important for other trans youth to have that role mode. 

Jamie comments on this, “Not a lot of people talk about transitioning so Dylan can lead trans youth into learning more about transitioning and the exact process of it.”

Since Mulvaney has such a large following of mostly trans youth she makes sure to post everything about transitioning, good or bad. 

Jamie adds, “I think Dylan showing her new face was a way to show any trans youth that might be struggling that one day they will be able to truly be themselves and everything will be okay.”

More creators must be open about transitioning and the process of it because it’s something not a lot of people talk about. 

Gabby Golarte comments, “I think it’s important to write about Dylan and her transition because there are a lot of trans youth that might not be comfortable with their identity, and seeing her can be an inspiration and show that its okay to be who you are even if it takes some time.¨
