This past Thursday, Oct.11, the fourth season of the hit Netflix show, Outer Banks was released.
“There are few shows that Netflix has seen greater success with than Outer Banks,” Tyler Nichols at Joblo Newspaper writes. “Following a group of friends known as the Pogues, each season has a different treasure [for them] to hunt down.”
Since we last saw them in early Feb. of last year, the teenage Pogues, main character John B Routledge, followed by Kiara Carrera, JJ Maybank, Pope Heyward, and new-edition Cleo Anderson’s return to the screen has been long awaited.
“I’m really excited for the new Outer Banks season,” sophomore Tanuvasa Lilii writes. “I’m not the biggest fan of the show, but my best friend is and she get really into it.”
The last brought many ups and downs for the surfer teens, including break-ups, break-downs, and highly unexpected by the viewers: the revival of John B’s long absent father, Big Ward Routledge, whose death has been hinted at since the first episode.
“I hate Big John,” Arbor View sophomore Madison Neal says. “He’s actually worse than Ward.”
Last we saw the Pogues, they had found the hidden treasure of mythical El Dorado, and in a shock to viewers, series long villain, Ward Cameron’s long awaited death finally came to pass.
“Even though he sacrificed himself for Sarah, I’m still so glad to see Ward gone,” Madilyn Saugstad says. “Hopefully for real this time.”
