To some, a place where you can eat a bunch of food while playing with cats sounds like heaven. Rescued Treasure Cat Cafe is a cafe in Las Vegas where people can eat with and adopt rescued cats.
This cafe, located on 4155 N Rancho Dr, Las Vegas, partners with programs such as The Animal Foundation and TNR Trappers to help rescue cats and find them good and loving homes.
They also host events. Some events that are coming up are “Dinner and Meovie Night”, which is a movie night on Friday, March 13 from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m., and “Bingo and Bagels Cat Brunch”, which is on March 22 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
“It would be a great way to give back to the community because it is a fun experience for people and you also get to help stray cats.” says Krystal Madden, a sophmore student at Northwest Career and Technical Academy.
All cats in the cafe are available for adoption; and the cost to adopt is $150. All cats are spayed or neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped and vaccinated.
Volunteer opportunities are also available. Individuals can help out as a cat bouncer, foster parent, helping fundraising, and being a photographer for social media.
Before going to the cafe, individuals must read the cafe rules, read and sign the waiver, and book a session. Session costs vary depending on the type. People can also reserve the cafe for special events such as birthday parties, meetings and more.
