As student body president, BriUnique Toeaina leads the student council, organizes events, and serves as a bridge between the student body and school leadership. She chose this position because she is passionate about building community, strengthening school culture, and creating meaningful traditions for the school's first graduating class. BriUnique is especially motivated by her vision for unity and major events such as the Freshman Fiesta, which she hopes will help connect the very first class of South CTA. Through her role she has developed communication, delegation, and time-management skills while learning to rely on teamwork and trust. Outside of school she continues to lead by serving in her community and church, and helping others with a balance of enthusiasm and healthy boundaries!

As Vice president of spirit, Michaela Church oversees the spirit committee along with historian Gaby Roberts. Her team is responsible for hallmark student experiences like homecoming, spirit weeks, hallway decor, and other school wide events. Michaela enjoys her role because it combines creativity, collaboration, and leadership. “It’s like arts and crafts, except for the whole school.” She communicates upcoming events by sharing information in person and reposting updates from the student council instagram. Michaela hopes to strengthen her communication and teamwork skills while increasing student engagement. Her goal is to introduce new events that make students feel involved, valued, and excited to participate throughout the year!

As vice president of service, Stella Castaldo identifies service opportunities that allow the student council to engage in meaningful community involvement. She applied for this role because she enjoys leading and has a passion for giving back. Stella says her favorite part of her job is seeing her peers make a positive impact beyond campus grounds. She has learned the importance of patience, communication, and organization, especially when plans change or stress levels are high. Stella works to keep her classmates informed with kindness and enthusiasm, helping build interest in upcoming service events. While she has faced challenges in coordinating opportunities, she emphasizes that flexibility and problem solving are essentials. “If one idea doesn’t work, there is always another option!”

As treasurer, Jayla Bernal oversees student council finances, manages budgeting, and tracks spending. She selected this position because she enjoys working with numbers and has a natural interest in financial planning. Jayla is particularly proud of helping grow the student council account from almost zero at the start of the year to a strong, sustainable balance. She believes there is always room to improve communication and time management especially as events become more frequent. Jayla’s goal is to make sure all students feel welcome, included and excited to participate in student council events. She credits volleyball, community service, and teamwork experiences for strengthening her leadership skills, and hopes to continue improving her organization and responsibly budgeting throughout the year.

As secretary Mia maintains meeting notes, tracks important dates, and organizes event information for the student council. She chose this position because she enjoys writing, typing, and supporting her team behind the scenes. Mia is most proud of consistently meeting deadlines, a skill she manages through careful planning and using her digital calendar. She is motivated by seeing her classmates happy, and she values helping others do their best. Through her role, Mia has learned the importance of being positive, dependable, and supportive while contributing to the student council’s overall success.

As historian, Gaby documents student council activities, captures student memories, and produces creative projects like the semester recap. She also serves as Co - chair with Michaela, helping design and organize high energy school events. Gaby stays organized using her notes app and google drive, ensuring she maintains records and creative materials efficiently. She chose this position because she enjoys making executive decisions, collaborating with others, and working on artistic design focused projects. Gaby is dedicated to helping peers feel included, encouraging open discussion, and reducing cliques by merging different friend groups into one united council. She values mature, collaborative leadership and strives to maintain an environment where every voice is heard.
