Our Problem
People are destroying artifacts and artifact sites.
Our Solution
We want to educate people so they won't destroy artifacts.
An atlatl is a hunting resource that the indigenous people used to kill animals for food.
The turtle petroform is very important to indigenous people because they thought the turtle Petroform was looking after them.
This is called a pictograph. People used these to communicate with each other. Our Archaeologists use pictographs to learn things from the past.
BUILD DIRECTIONS COMING SOON
These slides show the research we did during this season. In the slides, you will see a few reasons why we created our Archaeology Lego set.
Some of our research included meeting with an archaeologist named Annette Bennet, a restorer named Rayette Martin, an indigenous person named Josh Bonde, and the Sloan Canyon virtual tour you can see below.
We learned a lot about vandalism and the importance of protecting these artifacts.
