This year in English 9 Honors, we will be reading one book each quarter.  Because we stress the importance of annotating, we ask that students have their own copy of certain books.  Please read below for more information: 

Quarter One Book:  Anthem, by Ayn Rand

This book will be provided to your student during quarter one. 

Quarter Two Book:  

To Kill a Mockingbird  by Harper Lee: VERSION: Amazon Link 

To be read during second quarter.  Must have a hard copy of the book in class on or before: October , 2025.  *If there is a reason as to why you are unable to purchase this book, please speak with me individually. 

Quarter Three Book: Macbeth by William Shakespeare

Please order the version that is sold on Prestwickhouse.com (Literary Touchstone Classics). It is also sold on Amazon.com, but it is more expensive.  It is imperative that each student has the same edition published by Prestwickhouse ($3.49).   * Students must have a hard copy of the book in class on or before: January 6, 2025. If there is a reason as to why you are unable to purchase this book, please speak with me individually.

Quarter Four Book:  

A Dolls House by Henrik Ibsen

This play will be provided to your student.
