Ms. Cleveland has been playing games since she was a little kid. Family game night was a huge part of her life growing up and still is to this day. Growing up she enjoyed many of the classic games like Monopoly, Sorry, Yahtzee, various card games, trivia games, and many more.
Video games also became a large part of her life in elementary school and she has always enjoyed party games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and other multiplayer games.
In recent years she has begun to learn more new age games that focus on strategy, critical thinking, or cooperation. Games like Settlers of Catan, Deck Building Games, or Storytelling games.
Ms. Cleveland is excited to teach anyone who comes to game club new styles of games or play classic games. She regularly brings games from her personal collection to share with the group and hopes to add more games permanently to the club inventory when possible.
Ms. White has been playing video games from a young age. One of her favorite memories is going to the store with her dad to get the first DS. She has saved all of her childhood consoles, and collects Gameboy, DS, Gamecube, Wii, and Playstation games. Her favorite game is Stardew Valley.
Ms. White played classic board games growing up. She is new to strategy and deckbuilding games. This will be her first year advising the game club at Shadow Ridge, and she is excited to learn more about the different types of board games.
Video Games are one part of the club and if people are comfortable bringing their devices people can play together. Ms. Cleveland is currently loaning the club a Nintendo Switch Dock which can be hooked up to the large screen for multiplayer games.
The club currently has a variety of different table top games ranging from the classics to modern games. Ms. Cleveland will also bring games from her personal collection to introduce club members to different styles of games.
Table top games can include classic games like Monopoly, strategy games like Ticket to Ride, deck building games, party games like What Do You Meme, two player games, card games, and many other types of games.
Members may certainly bring any games from home they like as long as they are aware that there is a chance for things to get lost or damaged.
Donations to increase the club library are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
In the "Inventory" tab of the website you can see what games are always at the club and what games Ms. Cleveland has that she may sometimes bring to club. If she is asked ahead of time she can make sure a game from her personal collection comes.
