Each college has unique admissions requirements that students must meet in order to qualify for admission consideration.
Students are strongly encouraged to visit the website of the college(s) they are interested in attending to ensure they meet all requirements by the end of their high school career.
As an example, all CSU and UC schools in California require that students take 2 years of a Second Language course to be eligible for admissions. Second language courses are not a graduation requirement in the State of Nevada and are not required for admission to Nevada Universities.
Some majors and programs may require specific coursework as well. (i.e. Physics for students pursuing STEM Majors)
Please reach out to your counselor if you need help researching the admissions requirements for the schools you are interested in!
There are thousands of colleges are the United States. College Board's College Search tool provides you with an opportunity to narrow down your college research to help identify schools that are a good fit.
