Introduction to Miss Eden

Miss Eden has taught Orchestra at Silvestri JHS for the last 16 years. Her main instrument it the String Bass. She performs regularly with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. Miss Eden loves teaching middle school students the fundamentals of all the string instruments. Her wish is for all students to develop a love a music that will last a lifetime.

Introduction to Mr. Russo (Orchestra Specialist)

Jeremy Russo was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and studied with Dr. Andrew Smith, Associate Professor of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and attended UNLV to pursue his Bachelor of Music Performance degree. While attending UNLV he was the winner of the UNLV Concerto Competition and performed the Elgar Cello Concerto with the UNLV Symphony. He then earned his Master of Music Performance degree from California State University, Fullerton while studying with cellist Bongshin Ko.

During his studies he has traveled extensively around the world to music festivals such as Schlern International Music Festival in Italy, Jeju Music Festival in Jeju Island, Korea, various chamber music concert tours in Seoul, Korea, Spain and Germany, Summit Music Festival in New York, Summer String Fest at the Kaufman Center in New York City, Credo Chamber Music Festival in Ohio, and Hot Springs Music Festival in Arkansas. Jeremy also had the opportunity to perform chamber music with cellist Matt Haimovitz at Lincoln Center in New York City. Jeremy’s most influential teachers include Bongshin Ko, Andrew Smith, and Daniel Gaisford and has participated in master classes with Matt Haimovitz, Richard Aaron, and Daniel Rothmuller. Jeremy currently teaches and performs in Las Vegas and is co-founder of the Las Vegas Cello Festival.
