***IMPORTANT REGISTRATION UPDATE!!***
With the implementation of Senate Bill 80 beginning July 1, 2024, the Concussion Protocol document currently in Aktivate will be revised and the e-signatures reset for all student-athletes. This will cause any currently cleared athlete showing "Complete" to become "Not Complete". Parents/guardians and student-athletes will be required to log into their Aktivate registration and e-sign the new document in order to be cleared for athletic participation in the 2024–2025 school year.

The first official day of fall sports tryouts is Saturday, August 3rd. Tryouts may continue through Tuesday, August 6th. Please note that this is two weekends before school starts!!

Important registration info is below. Athletes MUST have a current Aktivate account with all documentaion included in order to tryout...this includes a physical. Physical packets can be picked up in the Athletics Office until June 14th or use the links provided below.
The Fall Athletics Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 8th, at 4:00pm, in the Theater. This is an important meeting to ensure that The Athletics Office, coaches, players, and families are all on the same page regarding school, district, and state expectations of our athletic programs. A Parent link message will go out to all parents of those athlete's that make team rosters, reminding them of the meeting.

Registration
Aktivate is the new site at which families register their athlete(s)...formerly known as Register My Athlete-RMA.
An Aktivate account MUST be created, or updated, and fully completed each year befroe an athlete may try out or participate in a sport. Please only create one account. Multiple sports per year may be registered for on one account.

Important:
The 'Medical Eligibility' page of the physical form, completed by the physician, MUST be uploaded to the athlete's Aktivate account. It is the ONLY page of the physical form to be uploaded (if multiple pages are uploaded the registration process will be delayed). All athletes must fully register for each of their sports on Aktivate.com.
The 'Authorization and Release for Information' Form MUST be completed, signed, and turned into the Athletics Office. It is the ONLY hard copy document that will be accepted by the Athletics Office.
TRANSFERS: If an athlete has attended another high school or middle school outside of the Sierra Vista zone in the last 12 months, the athlete must go through the transfer process to gain eligibility. This process includes communication between the ahtlete/family, the Sierra Vista Athletics Office, CCSD Athletics, and the NIAA and can therefore be lengthy. The earlier the athlete/family begins this process the quicker the athlete may be cleared. Non-CCSD Charter Schools
Fees: Students enrolled in non-CCSD charter schools, and that are zoned for Sierra Vista, MUST pay a program-specific fee to be eligible to play sports. For information, click here. For a list of these non-CCSD charter schools, click here.
Registration: Parents of students enrolled in non-CCSD charter schools MUST complete the Online Registration (OLR) process in Infinite Campus to be eligible to play sports. For information on how to register, click here.

NCAA Clearinghouse Info:
If your child, even as a freshman, has any interest in possibly playing sports in college, they must fulfill all of the NCAA
Clearinghouse requirements and meet with their counselor regularly regarding this!
