If you or someone you know is considering suicide or self-harm, then please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.

When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.

For other mental health issues, please talk to your parent or guardian (if a student) and reach out to your healthcare provider. There are many ways to get help online from home, with or without insurance. Go to www.nevada211.org for further information. You can also text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line) to text with a trained Crisis Counselor www.crisistextline.org.
