A student or government-issued ID, a functioning microphone, and a webcam are required for Honorlocked exams. External cameras and microphones are allowed as well. If you wish to run a system check, please go to www.honorlock.com/support
Honorlock will only run using the Google Chrome browser. All Middle and High School students are required to take an Honorlock Practice Exam the first week of school in Module 0.
There is no code needed for an exam using Honorlock. If you are prompted for a code it is likely that you are not using Google Chrome, are not signed in to the CCSD Google account, or the extension was not fully installed. The extension should have been installed during the practice exam. If it was not, you accidentally uninstalled it, or are using a different computer, follow the directions below.
1) Make sure you use Chrome and are on a Chromebook, Mac, or PC.
2) You are logged in using your CCSD credentials. (sometimes it switches back, so check!)
3) Clear your Cache and update your Chrome Browser (solves most issues) Clear Your Cache and Update Chrome
4) You completed Module 0 Practice Quiz in your course(s)
5) HL Chrome Extension was installed successfully
6) Use the Honorlock chat function to talk to live Honorlock support. Directions are in Module 0. They have access to your Canvas course and can send a transcript of your conversation with them as well. They are live people (not bots), very helpful, and available 24/7.

Some issues may arise with the Honorlock extension if your device is out of date. We strongly recommend that you update your device to the most current version.
To check for updates in Windows, type Check for Updates in the search bar at the bottom left of your screen.
It will display whether your device is up to date or if updates are pending. Please make sure to do any pending updates that may be available.
To check for Mac OS Check / Updates, click the Apple icon at the very top left of your screen. Then click About this Mac. It will display your current OS version. If updates are available, they will be found by selecting Software updates in the bottom right
No. Honorlock simply reports back possible incidents. Ultimately, your instructor determines if cheating may have occurred by viewing the video recording and any reports made by Honorlock.
