Every student that enrolls in a CCSD course will have a Google account created for them automatically. You will use this to sign in to Google Chrome and your Google Apps for Education such as Google Drive and Google Docs. You will also be assigned a Gmail address. Each account is created using the following guidelines:
Your first name as shown in Infinite Campus (up to 8 characters)
Your person ID. A unique number issued to each student different from the student number. Your teacher or counselor can provide this number.
Domain. @nv.ccsd.net
The password is the same as your Canvas and Infinite campus password that you set at myaccount.ccsd.net.
Please note: There is a temporary suspension of password resets from off campus locations. Until further notice, students must be on a CCSD campus and on the school wifi to reset passwords. You may need to come to the NVLA school building to reset your password during the school day. Please call first to ensure someone is available to help you get connected. (702) 799-6852.
*Never reset your Gmail, Google Chrome, Infinite Campus, or Canvas password anywhere except through myaccount.ccsd.net or Tech Support!
You can also find your Gmail address in infinite Campus. Once logged in, click "More" on the left side of the screen. Your Gmail address is listed under CCSD Standard Accounts.
Your Password is the same for your Gmail, Clever/Canvas, and Infinite Campus logins.

If your password is not working or you don't remember it, go to myaccount.ccsd.net. Choose "Forgot my Password." Be prepared for a couple of random questions to verify your identity. You may find it helpful to have Infinite Campus open to find answers you may have forgotten.

There are many activities and features that require a subscription for service such as Gizmos, Adobe, Google, and Honorlock. To gain access to course documents and these subscriptions, you need to be logged in using your CCSD account.
You should not use a personal account for your academic items or an academic account for personal items.
Directions on how to submit an assignment from your Google Drive will be located within the assignment.
Go to Google.com
Click the Sign in button
Type your Google credentials if known.
If you need further support, submit an NVLA support ticket located on the left side of your screen when logged into Canvas.
Click the “Share” button (located in the upper right-hand side) of your document.
You will be prompted to name your document if you haven't.
If there are only a few that you want to share it with, add their names.
If you plan to share with many, click "Change Link to Clark County School District"
This will enable a dropdown menu from which you can choose who to share the document with.
To the right you have a drop down menu asking what rights you would like to give those you are sharing it with.
You can also copy the link here so yopu can email the link if you want.
Click done.
*CCSD has set a document default to restricted so that only people added to your documents can view them unless you change it.

The first thing you should do at the beginning of each term is to create a folder for each of your classes. This will keep all of your course documents together. If your teacher has naming conventions set for the assignments, follow them. If there are no set conventions, create your own and stick to it. Always include the module and lesson number. You should not have to include the course name unless you have not set up files. For more on this, ask your teacher for tips and pointers!
