When you accepted your seat to attend Ed W. Clark High School, you agreed to the CCSD Magnet Contract.
Please review each section below so students and families understand the expectations of attending Clark High.
Students who are placed on probation and do not improve the academics/attendance/behavior will be dismissed from Clark and have to enroll at their zoned high school.
Accepting your seat is a one year commitment to attend Clark. Students are not permitted to withdraw/transfer during the school year. If a family decides the student does not wish to attend Clark, they can enroll in their home school after the school year is completed. Transferring to another CCSD school is not allowed (Families can apply to another magnet and attend if selected for the next school year)
Students are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA (C average) to continue enrollment. In addition, students who receive an F for a semester grade will be placed on probation until they make up that class.
Students are required to have good attendance and be on time for class. Students who have excessive tardies will be placed on probation. Students who have more than 10 absences in a semester will be denied credit (per CCSD Policy) and will be required to retake the class during summer school.
Any students suspended for a behavior infraction will be placed on probation. If a second behavior suspension occurs students will have to enroll into their zoned high school at the end of the school year.
