I am originally from Illinois, but I also lived in Arkansas. After transferring to UNLV, I earned multiple degrees which led me into teaching. I have been an English teacher at K.O. Knudson for many years. I feel fortunate to have spent most of my teaching career at this wonderful school. Being able to share my love of writing and literature with my students has been a privilege.

My fiance, Don, puts up with the stress of living with a teacher. He deservess a gold medal! I love my dog, Georgie Girl. We walk daily, and she provides such joy. Coffee equals happiness. It is a rare day that I go without my favorite beverage. Fortunately, I live across the street from a Starbucks! You might have noticed that purple is my favorite color. I admit to buying something purely because the item is purple.
