About the Teacher

Welcome to first grade at Shirley Barber Elementary School. I am excited and honored that you have entrusted me with your child’s educational achievements for the next 10 months. Together, we will learn and grow while never forgetting to have fun!

My name is Emily Stickley. This is my 10th year teaching and I am excited about the new challenge of distance learning. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development and a Master's Degree in Education. I hope to make my students’ distance learning experience positive and rewarding. I love working with children and seeing them grow academically.

I am a mom of two girls. One will be in 8th grade this year. So I completely understand parents’ fears and struggles with distance learning. It is my goal to work with parents and students to make this a successful year.
