Welcome to Room 30!

I am very excited for a new school year! I am your child's math and science teacher and will be integrating all the other fourth grade subjects throughout the year's curriculum.  I look forward to working in partnership with you for a great 2023-2024 school year.

I  came into education with a varied degree of service. I joined the United States Navy  after high school.   After coming home, I attended and graduated from California State University San Bernardino with a degree in Human Development, with an emphasis in Child Development. I subsequently worked as an administrator in a group home for developmentally disabled boys with behavior problems.  After moving to Las Vegas, I attended the University of Phoenix and received a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  I have had the privilege of teaching at Clark County School District for the past 20 years; the majority of it at Beatty.

I have taught second grade through fifth grade, 4/5 combination class, as well as departmentalized math and science class. I love using technology and hands-on experience to build a love of learning with my students. In our classroom, discourse allows us not only to learn from each other, but to also  verbally reflect on what we're learning by sharing with a partner or a group through different mediums.

My husband and I will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary in November. We have 2 of the world's greatest daughters in the world!
