Welcome to the Mannion Middle School Band! I am the Director of Bands at Mannion Middle School, and I am very excited to meet and work with all of you next year. Participating in band is one of the most significant decisions that one can make, and I am grateful to teach the hard working students at Mannion Middle School. I have been a teacher in CCSD for 4 years, and am an alumni of both Mannion Middle School and Foothill High School. As a student in CCSD, I had the opportunity to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, and several All-State Festivals in both Reno and Las Vegas. Now, I perform in a local ensemble made up of professional musicians and music teachers called "The Desert Winds," where we perform challenging and exciting music throughout the school year. My wife is an elementary and middle school music teacher, and I have a dog named Basie (after the famous jazz pianist, Count Basie!).
Mannion Band students are a group of very special individuals. The performances and displays of talent that we will demonstrate this school year are all due to the high level of dedication and hard work from our students. Thank you for joining the Mannion Band Family! I can’t wait to teach you how to create great music!
