Alternative Scholarship Workshops for 2019-20Priority deadline for the fall 2019 semester is: June 28, 2019.


For the 2019-20 academic year, we are offering workshops to help you complete the Alternative Scholarship application. Financial Aid staff will be there to help and answer questions. No reservations are needed. You may arrive anytime between 3 pm and 5 pm for the workshops below.


Attendees must bring income information (tax returns, W2’s and/or employer statements) to assist completing the application.

Hollywood Recreational Center

Volunteer hours can be completed at the Hollywood Recreational Center. The Hollywood Recreational Center is looking for volunteers Monday - Friday from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.

Clean the World

Hope is in your hands

We imagine a future where every single person has access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.

When volunteering at Clean the World, you help make that dream a reality. Individuals, corporate groups, and schools work in dynamic teams to address urgent global health needs.

Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Children ages 8 through 15 require supervision by a parent or guardian.

Boys and Girls Club

Volunteer hours can be completed at the Lied Memorial Boys & Girls Club. The Boys & Girls Club is actively seeking volunteers to assist with Saturday Basketball Tournaments.

Assistance League - Las Vegas

Assistance League of Las Vegas is a nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of children through community programs. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. Membership is open to any individual, regardless of race, color, creed or ethnic background. We have over 400 dedicated members, contributing over 48,000 hours to our philanthropic programs or fundraising by working in our Thrift Shop. Assistance League of Las Vegas is part of a national organization. Background checks are required of all adult members.
