Mrs. Lutz grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and moved to the Henderson area in 1999. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Houston in 1995 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from UNLV in 2003. Mrs. Lutz began her teaching career in Texas as a middle school science teacher. She taught middle school for 10 years before moving up to High School to teach Biology, Zoology, Marine Science, and High School AVID for 10 years. In 2015 she returned to middle school but it is her love for High School that brought her to Coronado H.S. in 2022. She hopes to share her enthusiasm for Biology with her students. In her free time, she enjoys bird watching, reading, and spending time with her husband & their very spoiled mini-schnauzer Reavo.
