The National Junior Honor Society chapter of Lied STEM Academy is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of this prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students who meet the required standards in five areas of evaluation: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Once inducted, new members are required to maintain the same level of performance (or better) in all criteria that led to their selection.
SCHOLARSHIP
Members must maintain a cumulative semester GPA of at least 3.5
SERVICE
Members must complete five chapter service project hours and ten individual service project hours every semester. A log will be submitted to the chapter adviser at the end of each quarter documenting the progress to completion.
CITIZENSHIP, LEADERSHIP, & CHARACTER
Members must attend the bi-monthly chapter meetings.
Members must also respect and follow the law and school regulations.
Students also are expected to fulfill their one time dues of $15.00 at the start of their first school year as members.
Any member who falls below the standards of scholarship, service, leadership, character, or citizenship may be considered for discipline or dismissal from the Lied STEM Academy chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. A member of the National Junior Honor Society is expected to maintain his/her academic standing and take an active role in service and leadership to his/her school and community.
