All students should be practicing 120 min a week at home on their assigned band music. Students are allowed to drop off instruments before school and can pick them up after school from their lockers. If your student is interested in taking private lessons see Mr. Symes for a list of teachers in your area. As we all know it takes a little hardwork and time to learn something new like an instrument. Thank you for your help and support in encouraging your students to practice and be the best they can be!!! Go Cougars!!!

The following guide should be used to determine what the special supplies are for your particular instrument: Many of these items can be purchased in a “Cleaning Kit” at local stores.
Your instrument should be brought to class daily in good working order. If you need to have your instrument repaired, please make arrangements with the repair shop to check out a loaner instrument. If a loaner is not available, be sure to bring your mouthpiece (and reeds) to class.
Woodwind players will need to purchase reeds on a regular basis. A good rule of thumb is to have 4 or more playable reeds at all times and a reed guard designed to hold 4 reeds.
Each instrument needs special supplies, which may be purchased separately.
