Griffith Elementary School Registration Process
**Online registration is required for all families.**
We are ready to get you registered to attend Griffith.
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
Please follow the steps below to register your child(ren) for school.

Please Note NEW Minimum Age and Entrance Requirements
By the first day of school:
For the 2024-2025 school year the first day of school will be 8-12-2024.
For Kindergarten Enrollment: Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before August 1st (no Pre-K documentation needed) to be enrolled in Kindergarten. AB65 revised the entrance requirements to meet the new age requirements on or before August 1st.
For First Grade Enrollment: First-grade students must be 6 years old by August 1, 2024, and demonstrate proof of completing kindergarten at a public, state-licensed private, state-exempt private or approved home school program OR demonstrate proof of completing kindergarten and promotion to first grade while being a resident of another state in compliance with the age and entrance requirements of that state. Proof must be verified through a report card issued by the out-of-state public or private school.
For Second Grade: Second-grade students must be 7 years old by August 1, 2024, and demonstrate proof of completing kindergarten and first grade at a public, state-licensed private, state exempt private or approved home school program.

I am registering a new kindergartner who has no siblings who have ever attended any school in Clark County School District.

I am registering my child, who is already attending a CCSD school (must be done each school year.)
I am registering my child, who is transferring from another school in CCSD.
I am registering my child, who is a new kindergartner that already has a sibling attending a CCSD school.
You need to know your child's STUDENT ID # for this step.

If you are sharing housing with others please have the following documents at the time of completing the online registration:
Shared Housing Verification Request Formed (MUST be notarized)
Government-issued photo identification with address showing parent/guardian is living at shared housing address (e.g., driver’s license, state issued identification card, passport).
Two additional supporting documents in the name of the parent/guardian at the address shown on the Shared Housing Verification Request Form, dated within 90 days of the current date. The document should be communication to the parent/guardian at the address from the following type of entities:
Financial Institutions (i.e., bank, insurance company)
Utility Company (i.e., phone, gas)
Medical
Religious Institutions
Governmental (i.e., federal, state, local)

INFORMATION NEEDED FOR THIS STEP:
If you attended Griffith last school year, you will need to bring in the following documents:
Proof of address (residence lease or sales contract, recent power, gas, or water bill)
Copy/photo of Parent/Guardian driver's license/ID
If you are new (including incoming Kinder & Pre-K), you will need to bring in the following documents:
Proof of address (residence lease or sales contract, recent power, gas, or water bill)
Proof of child's identity (original birth certificate/passport)
Copy/photo of the parent's driver's license/ID
Child's immunization records indicating that your child has had, or at least started, this series of immunizations:
5 DPT shots *
4 Polio shots *
2 MMR shots
2 Hepatitis A shots
3 Hepatitis B shots
2 Chickenpox (Varicella) shots or doctor's note with date that your child contracted Chickenpox.
* Note: One dose of DPT and polio must be on or after the child's fourth birthday.
