23-24 Escobedo Schedule Change Request

Requests for schedule changes are considered only during the first 18 days of the semester and are granted only for the following specific educational reasons:

· Promotion requirement fulfillment

· Misplacement in an academic area

· Successful completion of summer school course work

Class changes will not be granted to accommodate a change in a student’s lunch period, a student’s failure in a class, or a request to or from a specific instructor. 

The administration may, due to increased/decreased enrollment and staff changes, balance course sections by transferring students from one class and/or teacher to another section.  This procedure is known as Leveling.  Every effort will be made to ensure a smooth transition for students.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher conferences are available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7:40 a.m. or 2:20 pm through Google Meet or in-person. Parent/Teacher conferences must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Please contact your child's counselor via email for an appointment.

Student/Counselor Appointments

Students can request an individual counseling session with their counselor.  Students can request appointments for academic, personal, social, and emotional reasons.  Please contact the Counseling Office: 

Challenging A Course

Students have the right to challenge a course for which they do not meet a course’s recommended achievement range.  All courses above the student’s performance range may be selected with written permission on a challenge form that can be requested from the Counseling Department. Students must meet the prerequisite class completion before challenging a course. A course challenge form can be provided to a student by their counselor. Students must remain in challenged courses for the entire year.
