It streamlines the college application process, saving students time and effort by allowing them to fill out core information, like personal details and academic history, once and submit it to multiple institutions.

  The Common App aims to simplify the college application process by providing a centralized platform for students to apply to a wide range of institutions. 

• Functionality:
  Students create an account and complete a single application, which includes sections for personal information, academic history, extracurricular activities, and essays. This application can then be submitted to any of the participating colleges. 

• Scope:
  The Common App is accepted by over 1,000 colleges and universities in the United States and internationally, including those in Canada, China, Japan, and Europe.
