Formerly known as food stamps, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal nutrition program from the USDA. The program empowers eligible, low-income individuals and families to purchase food at grocery stores with the use of an EBT card. You may be eligible for SNAP benefits if you are: Working for minimum wages / Working part-time / Unemployed / Receiving other public assistance / Elderly / Disabled / Homeless
