A.P Studio Art: 2-D Design
This one-year course facilitates highly motivated students in the creation of a college level portfolio of two-dimensional art with design focus. Through any 2-D process or medium, students create works that demonstrate a range of understanding and fundamental mastery of 2-D visual concerns and methods. By AP guidelines, digital images of fifteen works demonstrating an in-depth exploration are submitted for the Sustained Investigation section and five works of highest quality are physically mailed for the Selected works section. Students should expect to work an additional four to six hours outside of class each week.

Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation for all cultures and their important contribution to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills either one elective credit or one Arts/Humanities credit required for high school graduation and may be repeated.
Advanced Art Studies:
This one-semester course provides opportunity for independent study to investigate a particular topic of visual art. The student collaborates with the supervising teacher to design and implement the topic of study. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation for all cultures and their important contribution to our society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one half of an elective credit required for high school graduation and may be repeated.
