I arrived in this country with my family 20 years ago; we had many dreams and goals, and although I wasn't quite sure where to start, I was fully committed to working hard to make them a reality. I must admit it hasn't been easy, but along the way, I have learned how much our community and people's kindness offer; that is why it would be an honor for me to help you in any way I can.

My name is Rocio Rodriguez-Martinez, and  I am a Family Team Advocate at the CCSD Central Family Support Center. I am proudly from Colombia and have called Las Vegas, Nevada, home for nearly 20 years. 

My journey has been shaped by my passion for empowering and walking with community members.  I believe learning happens best when students feel supported, respected, and valued. My caring and passion for education, and my appreciation for different cultures, continue to inspire me every day.
