Beginning Band

All playing tests (summative) will be done in class in front of one another and are graded on a pass (100 points) or fail (50 points) basis. Students who choose not to play will receive 0 points. To pass the playing test students should be able to play the selected material with correct notes and rhythms in time (with a metronome), with appropriate tone, and with proper posture and hand position. Students will be given multiple opportunities to pass off the material, however all tests must be passed off by the Friday of the 8th week of the quarter.
