The 21st century classroom encompasses collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Burkholder is in the process of transforming our former library space into the new Burkholder Innovation Center. The Innovation Center will accommodate active learning instruction that focuses on STEM, makerspaces, and project-based learning. Students will engage in hands-on activities that correlate with their classroom curriculum and embrace 21st century college and career-ready skills. Some activities will include: 3D Print Design, Rocketry, Computer Science:Coding, Design Engineering, and Augmented & Virtual Reality. The Innovation Center is not only a hub for collaboration and skill building, but a space where students can utilize digital resources, check out library books, and receive chromebook tech support.
