In an effort to enhance our school climate and culture, Bennett Elementary School has created a positive behavioral interventions and supports program, also known as PBIS. PBIS creates positive, predictable, equitable and safe learning environments by encouraging consistent school wide expectations and reteaching of behavior expectations to our students. Over 25,000 schools have embraced PBIS as a highly effective way to build children’s social-emotional-behavior skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
There are many benefits to PBIS, including:
Improved social emotional skills
Increased academic success
Increased positive student behavior
Enhanced teacher health and wellbeing
Improved school climate and culture
We ask that parents partner with us in teaching these expectations to students. Please review the attached school wide expectations (BOBCAT P.R.I.D.E.) with your student(s) to help them have a successful school year
