I was a finalist in last year's CCSD Got Talent singing competition—that's what this picture is from.

The CCSD Engagement Team even made a music video about me. It covered my love for music and singing and how that ultimately fuels my passion for teaching science.

I used to teach Forensic Science, but now I'm teaching a variety of subjects: AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology Honors, and standard Biology. I'm always excited and empowered to bring my current plans into all those classrooms this year.

Off the clock, I mostly spend time with my nephew, which usually means babysitting and going to Monster Jam shows with family. Lately, though, I'm into gardening, specifically getting good at growing succulents or any plants in general.
