Read the information below, and figure out WHICH PATH is RIGHT FOR YOU!
Who Should Apply to the FAFSA
High school seniors who have a social security number planning for college or Trade or vocational schools
*If your parent(s) files a return, even if they do not have a social security number, completing the FAFSA is OK for your family
*If your parent(s) do NOT have an SSN, and have NOT filed taxes, please reach out to Rawson (YOU ARE SAFE WITH ME!!!) so we can talk through options.
ALL Families who can, REGARDLESS OF income - MANY SCHOOLS WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY SCHOLARSHIPS WITHOUT COMPLETING THE FAFSA, and you CANNOT go to college in Nevada for FREE via the CSN Nevada Promise UNLESS you COMPLETE the FAFSA or Alternative Aid FORM!

Who Should Complete the School-by-School Process for Alternative Aid
Undocumented, DACA, and specific non-citizen students should fill out a state-specific alternative aid application. Alternative applications serve as a bridge to state and institutional money.
PLEASE NOTE:
Students should complete either the FAFSA or their state’s alternative application, never both. Filing both can delay processing or cause administrative errors at the college level
