Coronado Stands Behind Our Military Families

Coronado High School values the many families that live in our community who have ties to the military. As a school, we understand that military youth go through unique circumstances and situations and we want every military family to know we are here to help. This webpage is designed to provide you with easy access links to helpful resources. In addition, the staff in our schools have experience in assisting military youth and their families, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to your school counselor for additional assistance.

Here are some additional ways Coronado supports our military students in transition:

• Student Ambassadors welcome new/military students as they transition to our school.

• April - Military Awareness Month. Celebrating our Military families through a series of school-wide events.

• Weekly support groups for students of active military parents/guardians.

• Students and families are given complimentary admission to attend a school organized event of their choice, such as Student Council event, Athletic event, or a Performing Arts event. Students/Parents should reach out to the school liaison to request event tickets.

• Military Family Appreciation Night at a school football game

• Designated Resource Board for students of Military families: posting community events, special interest activities and opportunities for engagement.

• Specialized website postings for additional resources for students and families
