The final stage of the project's joint work was the publication of a two-volume textbook 'DeepTech Startup: A step-by-step development and launch plan'.
DeepTech encompasses pioneering technologies derived from scientific research and engineering innovations.
The manual presents a step-by-step plan for the successful creation and launch of a DeepTech startup from the initial stages of prototyping, technical implementation, fundraising and marketing strategies, to the subsequent learning opportunities presented by successful startups.
The textbook is recommended for individuals who already hold a graduate degree, current students who have bachelor degree and continue their education on Master level Programs. It will be useful for stakeholders – employers, businessmen and businesswomen, governmental institutions, non-governmental organisations for for the creation and launch of a DeepTech startups.

From 20 to 24 May, the DETECT! NUOS delegation visited the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. The purpose of the trip was to meet with project partners and participate in the final meetings of the consortium.
Joint efforts and lively discussions helped to summarise the results of both the second phase and the entire DETECT! project, which will greatly facilitate the preparation of the final reports.
The delegation was also complemented by two undergraduate students from NUOS. They, in turn, spent the whole week in a multidisciplinary course on creative digital manufacturing and automation. The training focused on acquiring practical skills in 2D and 3D design, reverse engineering processes, and learning about the new behaviour of traditional materials.

Zoom lecture of Business Design course
On Saturday, 27 April, Ganna Efimova gave a lecture as part of the Business Design course!
The students, as well as academic and non-academic staff of the university, spent a very productive and useful time: they learned about the basic principles and concepts of business design, got acquainted with the stages of the business design process and the unique opportunities it opens up in practice.
In addition to NUOS students and employees, marketing students from Lviv Polytechnic National University also joined the lecture.
At the end of the meeting, all participants received additional training materials and notes, and were given the opportunity to ask Ganna Yefimova questions via a special Google form.
The course is being implemented as part of the DETECT! project with the support of the European Union.

Yesterday, on March 27th, another significant event took place as part of the University's mentoring programme. An open discussion on the topic "Is it necessary to study in the age of AI?" was held online.
The speaker at the meeting was Hryhoriy Kravtsov, a senior researcher at the Pukhov Institute for Modelling Problems in Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, PhD in Engineering, and after all a person with impressive experience in the IT.
Together with the mentor, students discussed the advantages and disadvantages of AI and tried to identify the specific challenges faced by modern scientists and their young colleagues, university students.

Online meeting on mentoring programm

On Friday, 22 March, we were able to organise and deliver a wonderful introductory lecture on the University's mentoring programme. Its implementation became possible thanks to the DETECT! programme and the support of the European Union.
The speaker at the lecture was an experienced business consultant and Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Security Ganna Iefimova.
The meeting was held in a friendly and fun way, and students learned about the new opportunities that the DETECT! project opens up for them at the University. Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions, the answers to which often sparked a lively discussion.
After the restrictions imposed by the quarantine and the full-scale invasion, all the participants of the lecture were very grateful to gather again at the University to discuss the prospects for future development.

An online meeting was held today to discuss the project participants' plans for mentoring programmes. And we also decided to share our main ideas and plans here!
In March, we plan to hold meetings with project participants (students, academic and non-academic staff). At the meetings, we will present a platform where you can get information about the programme and mentors, and mentors will tell about themselves.
Registration for the mentoring programme will open by the end of March.
During April and May, mentoring will be provided to support participants while they work on their projects.
At the same time, we plan to attract new mentors to expand the database and provide our participants with even more opportunities for improvement!
We will be glad if each of you who is interested in personal and professional growth joins our mentoring programme!

A dedicated centre was also established during Phase I. The NUOS CCC provides easy access to counselling and support services that meet the diverse needs of students and help them move forward in their academic, professional and personal lives.
In the process, it works with employers to create opportunities for internships, work placements and graduate programmes.
In the future, we plan to provide even more active mentoring support and programmes that connect students with experienced professionals in their field.

We are starting a new academic semester by summing up the results of our work in Phase 1!
The main focus of our team's work was the development, implementation and delivery of a number of courses aimed at developing design thinking and an original approach to solving business problems.
During Phase 1, 3 training courses were held:
ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS (3 ECTS) - 123 students, incl. 29 DETECT students;
DATA ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN ACTION (5 ECTS) - 22 students, incl. 11 DETECT students;
DESIGN THINKING (short course 0.5 ECTS) - 69 students, incl. 25 DETECT students, 6 non-academic staff, 12 academic staff.

On 19 October, the Economics and Business course started as part of the DETECT project!
This discipline plays an important role in education, as it provides an opportunity to study the essence of the business system and patterns of its development.
Economics and Business course is focused on:
1) understanding the essence and forms of doing business in modern business conditions, the principles of choosing a certain type of business;
2) mastering the latest management approaches and the application of modern scientific and technical achievements in the business process;
3) mastering the tools of making effective business decisions.

On 13 October 2023, Dmytro Dusheiko, the founder of the marketing agency "Okhrana Gramota", PhD in Economics, held a guest lecture-training "Managing creativity or managing creatively - what is more important for the successful operation of a modern company?"
The students reflected on the degree of creativity in the production process, discussed and suggested methods of influencing the activity of creative staff, and learned the secrets of effective project team management.

On 28 September, the project held a regular working meeting. We had a productive conversation and discussed the most pressing issues in all areas and working groups.
The main issue was to discuss the involvement of business in the development and improvement of student ideas.
We plan to develop a system of mutual support for student initiatives. Another important issue for discussion was courses and master classes to be held at the university.
Now we are even more motivated and interested in the process and continue our work.

On 24 March 2023, a lecture was held with Denys Yuriiovych Panov, Deputy Director for Management of the Mykolaiv Main Ammonia Pipeline Department of the State Enterprise "Ukrkhimtransamiak" (a cooperation agreement was concluded).
The topic of the lecture was "Peculiarities of the functioning of a logistics infrastructure enterprise: current situation and prospects (on the example of the State Enterprise "Ukrkhimtransamiak")".
