Anil Mukhi is a real horse trader.

Working with race horse owners in India, the UK, the USA and elsewhere around the world, Anil has helped hundreds buy and sell beautiful thoroughbred horses.

Along the way, his company, Galaxy Bloodstock Services Inc., has collected horse racing results for every race in India since the beginning of the 1988-89 racing season. For many years, he kept this information in a customized FoxPro desktop database application. Beginning in 2014, he decided to invest in moving this data to a web framework in order to monetize his investment in information capture and storage.

Nueva Consulting Group has worked with Anil since that time to design, build and support this application, now available for general public use at www.indianturfinfo.com. The application provides articles of interest, listings of horses for sale and a broad range of on-demand reports for racing aficionados, horse owners, breeders, trainers, jockeys and stud farms.

The application is built with high-performance open source tools including the Grails web application framework on top of the PostgreSQL relational database. The database tables house about one million appearances in around 100,000 races by some 100,000 horses. Registered end users are able to launch reports on upcoming and past races, pedigrees and past performance of horses, leading sires, dams, maternal grandsires, owners, trainers, jockeys, breeders and stud farms, and other topics.
