Reflection

Transmission
Light can be reflected – bounced off an object
Light can be absorbed.
Light can be refracted – the direction of the light changes as it moves through an object
Transparent – light passes easily through it and you can see clearly through it
Translucent – light can partially go through it, you can see through it but there is no clear definition of objects
Opaque – light cannot pass through the object and you cannot see what is on the other side
A shadow is formed when a bright light hits an opaque object and cannot go through it.
