News-Related Stress: Understanding Its Impact on Students
With the current events happening around us—including incidents involving violence, conflict, and other distressing situations—it is understandable for many students to feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally affected.
Even when these events do not happen directly to us, repeated exposure to upsetting news through television, social media, online discussions, and peer conversations can still affect our mental and emotional well-being. This is commonly referred to as news-related stress.
The Guidance Center supports student well-being through comprehensive services and responsive programs that promote holistic growth throughout their academic journey.
