After being inspired by my earlier paintings, I created "Every Body," a paper mache sculpture. I sculpted the interior structure of the body with old newspapers, gawgaw, a doll, and other coloring materials.
This sculpture depicts an imperfect body with scars and an asymmetrical breast that I purposefully constructed during sculpting. This is to demonstrate that what we consider imperfections, such as scars and an uneven breast, are completely normal. I wish to show the value of body love and confidence through my artwork. I also want everyone to know that every body is beautiful in its own unique manner.
