BITIKHAL is a website established to promote different art forms from different regions of the Philippines throughout the world. With the emerging growth of technology, BITIKHAL took the initiative to provide an easy-to-access website that will showcase the artistry of Filipino Artists in different art forms.
Arts are classified into three major forms namely Visual Arts, Literature Arts, and Performing Arts. BITIKHAL is a portmanteau —a combination of multiple words to create one word— of the three major art forms but translated in Filipino words namely BIswal, paniTIKan, and tangHAL which literally means visual, literature, and perform in English respectively, thus the name BITIKHAL. You will see here the compilation of (1) different arts across the archipelago and learn about its background, history, artist, and other important details that must be known all over the world; (2) art portfolio made by BITIKHAL Advocates and their significance.
THE LOGO
BITIKHAL's logo is an emblem type logo that consists of imagery, symbol, and text. This is to give traditional yet elegant feel to the visitors of the website. Each of the symbols signifies quintessential symbolism, but in general, this logo symbolizes the unwavering commitment of BITIKHAL to make Filipino Arts known outside the country. Ever wonder about the meaning of the three stars in BITIKHAL's logo? Wonder not because the significance of the three stars are as follows:
1) It is a representation of the three major islands in the Philippines namely Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
2) It is a representation of three major forms of art namely Visual Art, Literature Art, and Performing Art.
3) Silver colored spangled stars represent elegance
For the emblem where the stars are juxtaposing, it signifies power. BITIKHAL believes that someday, Filipino Artists will influence fellow artists all throughout the world to create something that will spark a significant change in art.
