Master conductor, composer, and educator, Lucio San Pedro's music captures the society characteristics of the Filipino legacy. San Pedro, who was "Botong" Francisco's cousin, created a diverse range of works, for example, concertos for violin and ensemble, choral works, cantatas, orchestral arrangements, music for violin and piano, and tunes for solo voice, in addition to band music and other genres. He drove the exceptionally respected Peng Kong Terrific Bricklayer Show Band, the Banda Angono Numero Uno, and his dad's past band, the San Pedro Band of Angono. His community contribution and work with town groups have extraordinarily supported the development of a city culture among Filipino towns and gave youthful Filipinos an innovative outlet.

LYRICS:
Buhay ay kay tamis, sa sariling bayan,
Doon ang lahat na’y ating kaibigan.
Simoy nitong bangin, mula kaparangan,
Nagpapasariwa sa kalikasan.
Mainit na halik, naroon sa labi,
Ng irog na inang, siyang kumakandili.
Yakap ng ligaya, yakap ng pighati,
Init ng dibdib niya’y paraisong lagi.
Inang bayang mahal, di ka iiwanan,
Ningas ng ‘yong ilaw walang kamatayan.
Sukdulang ialay itong aking buhay,
Aalagaan ko iyong kalayaan.
Tamis nang mamatay, nang dahil sa bayan,
Araw ay sisikat sa gawing silangan.
Bandila ng laya, dapat iwagayway,
Bandila ng tapang at kabayanihan.
He composed more than 500 songs, including "Hatinggabi" and "Awit ni Maria Clara," and he also instructed some of the nation's most renowned musicians, including Lucresia Kasilag and Felipe de Leon. Jose Rizal's poetry Canto de Maria Clara, which can be found in his Spanish-language book Noli Me Tangere, is translated into Tagalog as Ang Awit ni Maria Clara.
