Founded in 2011 and based in Newcastle, NSW Sport and Event Management is a proudly local business with a national reach. We specialise in helping sporting organisations at all levels—especially grassroots and community clubs—build strong foundations, run more effectively, and grow sustainably.
Led by experienced sports administrator and event professional Beau Newell, we’ve spent over a decade working with a wide range of sporting codes and organisations, from small local clubs to national bodies.
Beau brings over 15 years’ experience in people management, operations, and community sport leadership. His background includes:
Coordinating large teams of up to 150+ volunteers across charitable and sporting events
Managing high-performing teams of up to 70 staff in retail and venue operations in both Australia and the UK
Leading inclusive, large-scale projects in national sports programs, policy, and education
