On March 6th, 2024, The Feynman Culture hosted GRAVITON, an event designed to ignite a passion for physics in a fun and engaging way. The attendees were treated to a day brimming with physics wonders.
The event commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Govind Gupta from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). His insightful words of wisdom and inspiration set a compelling tone for the day. Following Dr. Gupta’s address, attendees were enraptured by profound insights on Mining and Taxation presented by the International Navodaya Chamber of Commerce. These sessions provided a unique interdisciplinary perspective, blending physics with practical industry applications.
A highlight of GRAVITON was the hands-on workshop on Tinkercad, led by Mr. Saumya Pathak. This workshop offered students a taste of cutting-edge technology, emphasizing the practical aspects of physics and engineering. Participants engaged enthusiastically, learning how to create and manipulate digital models, which sparked a deeper interest in technological applications of physics.
During the Graviton event, the second workshop focused on Solidworks software. Conducted by a BTech student with assistance from MSc 2nd-year student Nitya Soni, participants learned to create detailed 3D models. This hands-on session enhanced their technical skills and understanding of engineering applications, fostering a deeper appreciation for design and simulation, and encouraging collaboration among attendees.
The excitement continued with PROTONIZ - the game of Physics. This electrifying segment featured a quiz and fun games that set the stage for the main attraction. Teams showcased their knowledge and skills, making the quiz session a great success. The final round of PROTONIZ, named RISE and HORIZON, introduced a unique twist with a game reminiscent of snakes and ladders. Participants navigated through the ups and downs of the game, aiming to reach the ultimate goal. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates by HOD ma’am, Dr. Ranjana Jha, adding to the competitive spirit and enthusiasm.
GRAVITON was more than just an educational event; it fostered a sense of community and collaboration. Each participant played a vital role, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the event. Special thanks to our mentor, Dr. Harsh Yadav, for his unwavering support, which was instrumental in making GRAVITON a bright star in the universe of The Feynman Culture events.
Beyond merely imparting knowledge, GRAVITON aimed to cultivate a passion for physics and create unforgettable memories. Attendees left the session fired up for future endeavors, ready to embark on thrilling new scientific journeys.
