About Us

Mr. Seligman

So where to begin...

I was born and raised right here in Illinois. I have been surrounded by professionals in the education field all my life, including my mom, who taught 2nd grade her entire career. I originally pursued a career in architecture and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

In 2008, I started out working in the Round Lake School District 116 and realized my passion for teaching even more. In 2011, I graduated from Quincy University with my Master of Science in Education.

I started in the North Shore School District in 2012 initially as a teaching assistant at Indian Trail and later as a 2nd grade teacher at Sherwood. I am fortunate that I am able to be a part of the Sherwood team and have the opportunity to work with such wonderful students, parents, and staff!

Mrs. Roberts

I am overjoyed by given the opportunity to work with you and your child. It is going to be a year filled with lots of fun, learning and adventures.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky. This is my fourth year teaching. I have taught fourth and second grade and am so excited to have the best teammates in third grade at Sherwood! I absolutely love teaching and have a strong passion for inspiring children. It is my mission to guide my students to become life-long learners. I look forward to building many strong relationships with my students, and their families. Together, we can achieve great things!

Mrs. Kilen

Ever since I was eight years old, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher! The love of learning is something that I always wanted to share with others! I am so lucky that my childhood dream came true!

I am so proud to share that this is my eighteenth year teaching third grade! Although it seems like just yesterday that I proudly joined District 112, the excitement and pride found in our classroom stems from such a wonderful & talented group of students!

I am honored to share in the special memories that await us all this year!! Our days will be filled with fun and learning!
