Acta Mineralogica Houstonica is a peer-reviewed student-run journal with the purpose to research and gather information of lesser-known or more obscure minerals.
Acta Mineralogica Houstonica was started by Earth and Atmospheric Sciences department students of The University of Houston and spearheaded by Dr. Jonathon Snow, a university professor from the EAS department.
The journal strives to bring light to the research and information of minerals that aren't common and usually have little research published about the mineral.
Our first volume is in the works and we are currently looking for papers to review for publication. Please see the "Submit a Paper" tab for details.
Look out for Volume 1 coming soon!
