Dance Marathon changes lives.
Dance Marathon is a student-led philanthropic movement that unites students nationwide in raising critical funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The Children's Miracle Network Hospital that will receive our donations is the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital. The Dance Marathon event celebrates pediatric cancer survivors and honors children who have passed.
One of the largest Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathons in the nation is the University of Iowa Dance Marathon. In 32 years of putting on Dance Marathon, the University of Iowa has raised more than 37 million dollars!
The North Scott Dance Marathon is a collaborative event with the University of Iowa Dance Marathon team. UI Dance Marathon partners with elementary, middle, and high schools to get students of all ages to join the fight against pediatric cancer by creating a "Mini" Dance Marathon, which is based on the University of Iowa's Dance Marathon. The North Scott Dance Marathon is a "Mini" Dance Marathon.
The "Children's Miracle Network" is a non-profit organization that raises funds for over 170 hospitals around the country. A core way the Children's Miracle Network raises funds is through Dance Marathons! Colleges and high schools support the Children's Miracle Network through these events.
The University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital is a member of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This is the North Scott Dance Marathons' chosen hospital, and this is where our donations will go.
