The library closes most days for one period and one lunch, as well as an additional lunch on some days when Mrs. Pires is at her duty. The library is also closed to students on passes if Mrs. Pires is unavailable due to a meeting or when she is co-teaching with another teacher.
Students are welcome with a pass when Mrs. Pires is available. Teachers will have her schedule.
Media Center Staff
When you come to the library you will see the librarian, Mrs. Pires.
Mrs. Pires co-teaches classes in the library and visits classrooms to help with projects. She selects books, plans activities, helps students with questions and reading suggestions, collects resources for teachers, supports teachers with instructional technology, and collaborates with teachers and other librarians in Nashua.
A paraprofessional checks books in and out, repairs damaged books, gets new books ready, creates displays, helps students find books, and keeps the library running so it can serve the school community. Mrs. Pires currently does these tasks when possible.
