Band and Instrumental Lessons

Band is for any Grade 4 or Grade 5 student who would like to join. There are two bands, beginner band for first year players and advanced band for second year players. The instrumental program is made up of two parts: the instrumental lessons and the band practice. Instrumental lessons meet during school (with the exception of percussion) and are group lessons where the students learn how to play their particular instrument. Band practice is when all students (divided into beginner and advanced) practice together as a big group. Band has two concerts per year, one in the winter and one in the spring, with the chorus. Beginner band will perform in the spring concert only.

Beginner Band meets Thursdays from 8am-8:45am in the school gym. Begins in December.

Advanced Band meets Tuesdays from 8am-8:45am in the school gym. Begins in September.
