Remember that this is your library and Ms. Barone is just lucky enough to be the caretaker! I like to make things easy and clear when it comes to rules. Below are the two expectations that we will all meet when visiting the library:
RESPECT-Respect all adults, classmates, and especially yourself (you know the difference between right and wrong!) Also respect all the resources in the library. The computers and books are here for you to use and enjoy. Take care of them as if they were yours (well, maybe even a little better than if they were yours!)
RESPONSIBILITY-Be responsible for yourself and your belongings. Clean up after yourself, push in your chairs when you leave and always remember to return your books on or before the due date. Books are signed out for one week at a time but if you need them longer, no problem, we'll just renew them.
*If you finish your books before your library day you can always come in and exchange them for more!
If you have misplaced a library book you have several options. You may:
pay for the book
replace it with a new copy
send in a different book that is "gently used" and school appropriate to trade
