Mr. Jon DeHay

Jon DeHay is entering his 14th year at K.W.S. Bear Road Elementary and has worked for NSCSD for 23 years.  Jon is a product of Cicero-North Syracuse High School class of 1997.  He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from SUNY Cortland.  While at SUNY Cortland he was a member of the Men's Basketball Team and an Assistant Coach for the Women's Volleyball Team.  Mr. DeHay is the 12U Director for Club SYRV (USA Volleyball) and also officiates volleyball.  Mr. DeHay lives in Cicero with his wife Katrina, daughter Addison(12) and son Carter(10) and dog Reese (5).

Mrs. Loren Pennisi

Loren Pennisi enters her 11th  year at KWS Bear Road Elementary and working for NSCSD for 20 years.  She was an Adapted Physical Education Teacher and High School/Junior High School Teacher before coming to KWS Bear Road.  Loren is a product of Solvay High School class of 2000.  Loren earned a Leadership and Recreation Degree from Onondaga Community College before attended SUNY Cortland where she earned her Undergradute and Masters Degree in Physical Education.  Loren resides in Syracuse with her husband John, daughter Josie (9), son Mason (7).

Mr. Nick Bough

Nick Bough is the Adapted Physical Education Teacher here at Bear Road. This is his first year at Bear Rd, third year teaching APE full time for NSCSD and 5th year teaching overall. He graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School in 2018 and went to school at SUNY Cortland where he got his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. After leaving Cortland, Nick got a job in the Oneida City School District where he taught Physical Education for grades K-5 and coached JV girls soccer and modified boys track. He obtained his Masters' Degree in Health Education from SUNY Brockport. Nick resides in Cicero with his fiance Keeley and dog Piper (7).
